I treat your dog as a unique case and after an initial evaluation will use the right techniques to motivate your dog to change. There is never a 'one solution fits all' and as such a range of gentle and effective techniques based on dog psychology are used to restore your dog to the happy and balanced dog they deserve to be.
Together we will work to create a great relationship so that both you and your dog are happy and comfortable with each other. I work with you to create that special bond that exists when both you and your dog are on the same wavelength. -
Before I arrive I will have sent you a questionnaire to fill out and return so that we’re not wasting time on the day. You may have sent me some videos of your dog’s behaviour to review as well.
The first thing we’ll do is to have a chat about dog psychology - why is this important? It provides the foundation for everything else we do. It will clearly identify why your dog is behaving as they are and how we can remedy that quickly and kindly.
Then we start the practical work - this will depend on my evaluation and skill in quickly identifying the root cause of your dog’s behaviour. It may mean taking your dog out, it may be working indoors. Your dog is treated as a unique and special case whilst your skills are upgraded, you will see significant changes while I am with you.
You will learn the right techniques and strategies to change your dog’s behaviour and will have plenty of time to practice them whilst I am there. Time for questions at the end and within 48 hours you will have a written training plan with videos and a guide to refresh your memory as its a pretty jam packed Masterclass.

I'm sorry to hear that. However, not all dog trainers are the same and my methods are proven to work with any dog, breed or age. I use techniques based on dog psychology, so that you can quickly and effectively resolve any issues as you are working on the same wavelength as your dog.

Dogs thrive when they live in a household where they have learnt calm, social behaviour. To teach this you need to have excellent leadership skills such as good communication, fairness, compassion and be happy to set some household rules for your dogs. All sounds simple but if you apply human psychology rather than dog psychology you and your dog will have problems understanding one another!
We need to build both trust and respect with our dogs - it goes both ways. Providing good quality leadership, in terms that your dog understands, is critical to a successful relationship. If your dog trusts you but does not respect you or vice versa, it will be difficult to ask anything from your dog and expect your dog to behave well.
I train you to become your dogs leader in a calm, confident and non aggressive way. -
No, I have developed my own methods based on up to date scientific research and hands on experience of what works and what doesn't. I have learnt from the best in the world and bring many of these techniques to help your dog.
Turid Rugaas, for example, is the worlds leading expert in Canine communication signals. Dr Ian Dunbar is the leading expert in behavioural science and training. Chad Mackin teaches Dogmanship and conditioned relaxation. Prof Panskepp is the worlds leading expert on dogs and emotions.
I strongly believe that you should learn from the best, develop your own skills and use your knowledge to help the dog you have in front of you. Drawing on my wide experience I have the right tools to do just this. -
I have an instinctual understanding of dogs, some call it dog whispering. I am able to build trust and confidence very quickly, helping your dog to relax and learn a different way of behaving. Most importantly I come to help You learn new skills and techniques. Without training you, your dog may work for me but will revert back to old habits once I leave. I help you to learn in a non judgmental manner. My clients talk about their dogs changing beyond recognition after my visit.
