Adolescent Dog Training Classes
ADOLESCENT DOG TRAINING CLASSES
£120.00
My next Training Academy is for dogs aged between 5 to 24 months, starting Saturday 6th September. It runs for 5 consecutive weeks and is designed after many years of experience to teach you how to communicate effectively with your teenage dog, manage their behaviour and fast track age appropriate skills.
Adolescent dogs can be difficult to manage. They go from sweet little pups to seemingly having forgotten everything you’ve ever taught them overnight.
Lots of reasons for this which I’ll cover on the course but you’re not alone. In fact 60% of dogs handed in to rescue are between 6-24 months old.
That’s why I’ve designed a specific course to help you through this period.
AND LOTS MORE depending on the class needs.
In 5 sessions you’ll learn all the skills you need to understand what’s happening to your dream dog and how to navigate this period with a plan, new skills and new friends.
I will personally evaluate your dog and you will leave with a thorough understanding of their behaviour, simple but effective skills that no-one tells you about, and with a young dog you can be proud of.
This Course will cover:
Specific training skills to have your dog listening to you and doing what you ask.
Focus training and how to encourage calm behaviour
Teaching your dog how to control their own behaviour in all situations.
Outdoor manners - walking on the lead, recall.
What does appropriate play look like and how to achieve it
Socialisation skills -greeting dogs and people
Managing common issues - jumping, hyper behaviour, nipping
Understanding dog psychology, body language and behaviour
Does food impact your dogs behaviour
